My podcasting journey

I started my first podcast 2 years ago this week.

I had epic amounts of audio experience (I’m a multi award winning audio producer, with 15 years experience as a voiceover) so I assumed it would be a doddle.

Record and edit some audio, and whack up my podcast onto iTunes.

And in theory, yes, it was that simple. Except that I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I had no clue how to create a podcast that was effective for my business. I had no clue how to launch to gain momentum, and I had no idea how to use a podcast to build my audience.

After seven months, I decided I wanted to make my podcast work for me, and I set about learning everything I could about successful podcasting.

I now coach other ambitious leaders, entrepreneurs and creatives how to stand out from the crowd with a powerful podcast.

In order to feel legitimate in all that I was teaching, I knew I wanted a podcast that was undeniably a hit from the word go. So I put all of my new knowledge into the creation and launch of Entrepreneurs Get Visible.

It’s fair to say that the launch of that show was stellar! I hit the Top Shows and New Shows categories within hours, and was being promoted alongside Tony Robbins, Gary Vee, Amy Porterfield and Marie Forleo within days.

For the first 4 weeks I was the only solo female show in the Top 20, both in the UK and the US.

Now I’ve put everything I’ve learned about podcasting into the brand new The Podcast Membership, where I share everything I’ve uncovered about how to make a successful podcast.

This blog will take you through everything you need to launch, grow and monetise a podcast with impact.
