Microphone Test: Sontronics Podcast Pro
I was sent one of the first releases of the new Sontronics Podcast Pro microphones as I’m a huge fan of their microphones and sleek British design. You can find out more about the UK based company here.
Ofcourse, they sent me one in my favourite red, although it comes in black too.
What I like most about this mic is that it has a built in pop-shield so it looks sleek in my studio.
I was impressed with how much clarity and resonance it picked up in my voice.
I’ve tested it alongside my Rode Nt2A and my Blue Yeti USB mics. You can listen to the difference here.
If you’re starting out in podcasting, this would be a great mic to use. It’s going to be my XLR mic of choice from now on, as I was pleasantly surprised at the richness it picked up in my dulcet tones.
